When my bike is standing upright, it's allmost impossible to put in the batteries, they fall out rightaway. Now I just laid my bike down horizontally and put in the batteries, which works fine, but it's not very elegant in my opinion.
Am I missing something here? Or is there a better way to do this.

I have had this exact same problem! I've found it easier to use a small magnet on the outside of the battery cover to hold the batteries in place. Hopefully, in future iterations, creative battery installation techniques will not be necessary!
